What I liked about thank you M'am

Mr. Romero I would like for you to grade me on my intro and details

Have you ever read or heard of ‘Thank you            M’am”? Well in fact it is a very good story that takes place in Harlem, New York. That has many up and down issues in it. It is called the climax. Some of the most amazing parts were- one when Roger tried to steal Mrs. Jones pocket book, and second is when he was “ baptized” and three is when he had a chance to run but he didn’t. ENJOY!

 

No doubt one of the most important parts of climax in this story is when roger tries to take Mrs. Jones pocketbook. It was interesting because it was a failure. As soon as Roger tries to take her purse he trips and quickly she grabs him by his shirt and says, “Pick up my pocketbook, boy, and give it here.” She leans over enough so he can pick it up and give it to here rite away.

 

However when Mrs. Jones orders roger to wash his face is another absorbing climax. Before, when they were walking to her house she says, “You know, I gotta great mind to wash your face for you.” And then when they get home she tells Roger to wash his face. And when he does it is like a baptism he is like a new person starting all over again.

Nevertheless one of the most gripping climax’s is when roger is finished “baptizing” himself, he sees her pocketbook, but instead of trying to steal it again, he sits as far away from it as possible. Then he sees the door and thinks about running, but he thinks again. He doesn’t because like it was said he is like a new person.  

 

            Indeed there were many climaxes in the story and as you can tell, the climax is the best part. So I hope you enjoyed thank you m’am.

 

I will Graduate in the year 2012

Mr. Romero, this is my essay on me Graduating in 2012 I want you to grade me on my my voice and Transitions!!!

Do you remember your or anybody else’s graduation day? Well 10 years from now I will! Mainly because I’m graduating from constitution high school. I will be talking about how my amazingly strong family will help me through the high school experience, since I am the youngest. Then I will be explaining how my incredible smart teachers will “coach” us into an excellent academic career. Lastly I will be walking you through the ways my ubiquitous friends will help me through the high school experience.

Obviously the first group of people that will help me through to graduate is my FAMILY! Some of the ways that they could help me is by helping me with my homework, everyone in my family always says “If you need help on school work you can always come to me.” And other issues such as rides to school, I hate taking septa every single morning and every single afternoon, I could really have a ride home at least. I think my family is one of the most fortunate families in the country.

On the other hand there’s also my most experienced and intelligent persons I know. My teachers are like coaches on sports teams, such as basketball, the coach doesn’t dribble the ball for you he just tries to teach you how to do it correctly. Just like with teachers, the don’t take tests for you they show you how to take one. They could also help with outside issues to such as If I needed some help with English but Mr. Romero wasn’t here Mr. Brasof would probably be one of the first ones and try to help me.

Nevertheless my friends would be one of the main ones riding me about my school work when I’m at home. That’s not even a bad thing because say you had an essay due at 11:59pm, and you were finishing it around 11:45 the would be right on top of you making sure I got it done on time and it was all correct and it all made since. My friends would be an awesome help on helping me with school.

In final consideration you can see that I will be graduating in 2012 from constitution high school. I promise you mow. Not only do I have to graduate in 2012 I’m making it a life goal to succeed and get along in life. And one of the only ways I can do hat is to graduate from constitution high School. SO I will be a a grade student because of my friends, family and my wonderful teachers.

Who should be the next President of the United States.



Many of my classmates do not know about the issues that surround the upcoming election. When we were given this assignment, we had to determine what is most important to us. For me, it is clear. I want to know what the next president wants to do about the war in Afghanistan. My father is one of the Thousands of troops in the Middle East. I don’t know about you but I do not want my dad or anybody else’s family members(s) to be sent back over seas. I’ll be covering a couple of Obama and McCain’s top issues in the upcoming election. Personally I think Barack Obama should become the next president of the United States.

Generally speaking gun laws are one of the main issues in the 2008 Presidential election. Barack Obama, in 2005 voted against a law prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers stemming from acts committed by others using there guns. On the other hand John McCain voted for that same law. It sounds like Obama would like for people to be held accountable for what they make and who the sell it to, and McCain could really care less about who guns are sold to and why, weather it could be to hurt someone or to protect their selves. Barack Obama insists on having criminal background checks on who ever wants to buy a gun. He wants to make a law saying that all guns should be childproof, and voted for a 2005 child safety lock amendment. Obama said he believes "that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms. But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can't constrain the exercise of that right.” I think that what Obama is saying is right, manufacturers should make criminal background checks on all people that are trying to by a gun.

Nobody denies that the war in Afghanistan is a very important topic in the election. This section is about where Obama & McCain stand on the very important topic AFGHANISTAN. Barack Obama says he will send two additional large groups of troops to Afghanistan. John McCain wants to send three more groups over seas. Obama plans on training more afghan security so our troops don’t have to be over all the time. Barack Obama wants to fund Afghanistan for a little bit longer and start cracking down on more terrorist camps. John McCain just wants to pay for some troop increase, with United States’ money. Obama doesn’t focus on other countries, mainly because they are not us. I think we should just focus on us for now because we are falling apart as a country. We need to get ourselves at the top of the chain again because us helping almost all of the Middle East our government is not focused on us. After getting us back up if those other countries still need help then we should proudly help them. My father is in Afghanistan rite now fighting as a combat medic, so I may come off a little bit bias about this topic but I am not.

In final consideration I do think that Barack Obama needs to become our president for the next four years if we want to move on and be successful as a nation. Barack Obama is America’s future. McCain rite now is not an option. Because he is focused on making other countries better instead of making America better as one.

Why I Chose Constitution HS

The reason i picked Constitution High School is because my teacher told me that I would like this school, and so far he wasn't wrong. I really didnt choose Constitution High Dr. Davidson picked me. I chose constitution high because I was told that lawyers like to argue there cases, and that Constitution High was the place to go if you want to b a lawyer. Although I do not want to be a lawyer, but that is a different topic, but I do like to argue my case. I also choose Constitution because it is a better chance for me, it gives me more options in life. Another reason is because it is in Center City, were it all happends, rite in the middle of histrical buildings, and all that good stuff. Finally, because i fcus' on all history. That and Math are my two favorite subjects.
