1)What was the main climax in "the streets of memphis" and why?
-I think the main climax was when Richards mom smacked him in the face.First I think this because whenshe smacked him it was almost as i felt it my self. Second, because when she smacked him there was a moment of scilence, witch I think brought a neverse scence of 'whats going to happen next'. Lastly, its because of the reason Richards mom smacked him, I think she smacked him because she didnt want him growing up to be scared of everyone he encountered. When Richards mothers hand went straight against His face, that was the high point of this story.
2)What do you think will happed now that Richard is a "man"?
-I think Richard will only use force for the rest of his life. One because Richard probably feels that it is easy to use force instead of talking it out. Two he most likely thinks thats the was everything is done in the world. Last he probably had fun hitting everyone in the head with that stick. I think that since Richard has had this expierience he will use force for every altercation he ever gets into.
3)What were some of the motifs of the gang members asulting Richard?
- I think some of the motifs of the gang jumpping Richard were to see if he had money, and if so take it from him, then to make him feel belittled. One of the motifs of the gang was to find out if he was carying an money on him. A second motif was that if he did have money on him, to steal it from him. And lastly one of the maiin motifs was to make him feel like there was nobody there for him, to make him feel like he was nobody. The gang jumpped Richard because they could, they were greety prople.
4)What 3 questions, if u could, would you ask Richards mother?
-The questions hat I would ask Richards Mom would be based on parenting. The first one would be, why would you give your son a wepon to fight his battels. The second would be what other solutions would you have for Richard instead of fighting. The last one would be why didnt you help your son in this harsh time of his kife? those questions of parenting I would ask Ricahards mom.
